Residents of Windmill Estates find their homes upon passing the
authentic turn-of-the-century, oil-bath windmill atop a massive
Appalachian-stone base and arriving at Oakgrove Avenue. The
windmill marks the entry to a series of neighborhoods that string
along an interface between conservation lands and golf course
corridors. Windmill Estates has 12 golf frontage lots and 12
conservation oriented lots. The lots are generally 1/2 acre in
size, with many being 120' wide by 175' deep. The neighborhoods'
southern end is complimented with a golf window onto the #11
fairway, from which you can view the windmill. The southern end is
also a transition of forests and preserved Live Oak hammocks that
extends the open space for another 1/4 mile before the next visible
home is encountered.
